What:

Born in 1923 near Church Point, Louisiana, Adam Hebert is a gifted songwriter and fiddler whose songs have become standards in traditional Cajun music. "Pour la dernière fois," "J'aimerais connnaître," "La valse de ma chérie" (included in Charles Bronson's 1975 movie Hard Times), "Ouvre la porte," and "Cette-là moi j'aime est comme un 'tit oiseau" are among the songs composed by Adam Hebert.

This 6th annual Chapitre de Lafayette Tribute honors Adam Hebert and the Country Playboys. Featured bands include Kevin Naquin and the Ossun Playboys, the Pine Leaf Boys, and the Lafayette Rhythm Devils. Admission for adults is $5, children 11 and under are free.
