What:
To say that Bryant Keith "T" Broussard has zydeco in his blood would be an understatement. He is the son of Mary Jane Ardoin Broussard, the only female Creole accordionist. His great uncles include the legendary Bois Sec Ardoin and Carlton Frank, the renowned Creole fiddler. His cousin is Keith Frank.
T played his first shows at age 7, backing his mother on scrubboard and later on drums. He picked up the accordion at the age of 11, but didn't get serious about playing until his 20s. It was then he started his band the Zydeco Steppers. Today, T-Broussard has one of the hottest sounds emerging from Louisiana today. He was recognized at the 2003 Zydeco Music and Creole Heritage Awards with three nominations for Best Accordion, Best Entertainer and Best Singer.
Doors open at 6pm for dinner, drinks or socializing, music runs from 7:30pm to 11pm. Pre-show cajun dance lessons at 6:30pm. Tickets are $22 at the door.
