Chubby Carrier and the Bayou Swamp Band

One of the most sought-after zydeco acts in the country, Chubby Carrier and his Bayou Swamp Band are known for show-stealing live performances that leave fans in a dancing frenzy. Born in Lafayette into a family of performers -- both his grandfather and father played zydeco -- Carrier learned to play accordion from his father. But Carrier's music isn't just traditional zydeco; he adds elements of blues, New Orleans funk, gospel, soul and even doo-wop to his spicy brew.
