Vagabond Opera -- based in the Pacific Northwest, yet encompassing the world -- delivers passionate offerings of Bohemian vaudvillany.The ensemble delivers an eclectic mix of original and traditional compositions, unified by an old-world mood. Gut-bucket swing, tangos, Paris hot jazz, Ukranian folk-punk ballads, Arabic bellydance, Klezmer, Operatic Arias and vigorous originals mingle with Absurdist, Bohemian Cabaret style, all played with skill, exuberance and a gritty vagabond edge. The band's lineup includes trained operatic tenor and soprano, accordion, saxophones, cello, acoustic bass, drums! Every show is a cabaret of rich musical phrasing, sparkling lyrics and indomitable stage presence.
