Since 1963, Eddie Blazonczyk's Versatones has been the gold standard of Chicago polka bands. Eddie Blazoncyzk Sr. was a pioneer of the Chicago style polka, evolving the sound and promoting it around the world. The torch has now been passed to his son, Eddie Blazonczyk Jr., and with "Junior" at the helm, the band continues to record and tour relentlessly. With 18 Grammy nominations and numerous awards from the International Polka Association, the Versatones proudly carry on a legacy started over 40 years on the South Side of Chicago.
