Accordionist Brett Gibson will be the featured soloist with the Kansas City Civic Orchestra under the direction of Andy Anderson when he performs the Concerto for Accordion and Orchestra by Astor Piazzolla.
Accordionist Brett Gibson was born in Auckland, New Zealand and now makes his home in the Kansas City area. Brett began playing the accordion at age 7 and at the age of 12 won his first New Zealand championship for that age category and continued to seriously play and compete into his late teens as a soloist and with duet, trio, quartet, ensemble and orchestra.
