Bayou Boogaloo and Cajun Food Festival

The Bayou Boogaloo & Cajun Food Festival is Norfolk’s salute to the New Orleans’ spirit and unique Bayou culture. This popular 3-day festival delivers the heart and soul of Louisiana to Town Point Park in true Cajun and Creole style. Three stages featuring Blues Traveler, Buckwheat Zydeco, Terrance Simien and many local New Orleans musicians provide the music that gets your hands clapping, feet 2-steppin’ and heart pumping throughout the weekend!

Music plays only one role in this carnival weekend, Boogalooers will have the opportunity to shop the New Orleans Art Gallery and meet over 30 Louisianan artists whose works provide the ultimate artistic visual experience through many art forms. In addition to art and music, a multitude of family activities take place all weekend long including cooking demonstrations, a bona fide New Orleans funeral march, fire-eaters, hot pepper and crawfish eating contests and much, much more!
