What:
The 39th Annual International Polka Association (IPA) Polka Festival is taking to the road for 2007. This year’s festival will be held at the Doubletree Hotel, south of Cleveland in Independence, Ohio, from August 2 to August 5, 2007.
Entertaining at the 2007 festival will be Old School from Ohio on Thursday evening, Jason Uzl & Ethnic Jazz from Ohio for the Friday Pool Party. Friday evening music will be provided by The Buffalo Knewz from New York, Polka Country Musicians from Connecticut and Pennsylvania’s Polka Family.
Saturday begins with the Polka Music Hall of Fame Music Awards Banquet at 10am. with a pre-banquet cocktail reception. Polka music reigns in the ballroom at from 4:30pm with the sounds of the New Brass Express, Lenny Gomulka & Chicago Push from Massachusetts and Stas Bulanda’s Old School Review from Illinois.
Sunday there will be a Polka Mass at 9am, with the annual election of officers and convention meeting commencing at 10am.
