On Saturday, August 4th, Jagermeister-sponsored, Fritz's Polka Band (FPB) from Verona, NY, will perform at the Eagles Club (Crescent Ave.) in Saratoga Springs, NY. FPB will perform from 3pm to 7pm.
"Although we've performed in Saratoga Springs seven times before, we haven't performed specifically at the Eagles Club,” said Fritz Scherz, band leader of Fritz's Polka Band. "We're looking forward to cranking out our style of music, since it's different than other polka bands, and am hopeful everybody is ready to enjoy our eclectic mix!"
Fritz's Polka Band has been performing for 28 years, and made history in 1999, when they became the first polka band to perform at a Woodstock Festival in Rome, NY. In 2006, FPB made history again by becoming the first polka band to perform at the China Club in New York City. FPB has made 14 recordings, and even appears on "The Manchurian Candidate" DVD which was released in July 2004. FPB was awarded the "Best Polka Song" by the Just Plain Folks Music Organization in November 2006.
