Buffalo Bisons Polish Day

The Buffalo Bisons AAA baseball team celebrates Polish Day at the ballpark with all of your favorite ethnic food, music and entertainment at a pre-game tent party and throughout the game. Polka entertainment will be provided by Buffalo's own, The Knewz.

In the spring of 2005, The Knewz returned to the polka music scene after a 12 year hiatus. Since 2005, The Knewz has recorded 2 CDs and appeared at several festivals and events throughout the US. The Knewz plays many original songs, written by the members of the band, in addition to bringing back old Polish favorites and mixing in a few country-flavored polkas. The present members of The Knewz include: Tom Picciano (leader, trumpet, clarinet, vocals), Mike Burka (trumpet, vocals), Tommy Wanderlich (concertina, clarinet, vocals), Andy Bojczuk (drums, vocals), John Fomenko (accordion), and Brian Urbanczyk (bass).
