What:
The 35th annual Way Out West Oktoberfest will be held at Tempe Beach Park October 5-7, 2007. This FREE event has something for all ages – lots of family-friendly entertainment and fun in Kinderfest, mainstream entertainment in the Budweiser beer garden all weekend-long, and non-stop polka in the International Beer Garden. Along with great music, there will be great food – think bratwurst, strudel and hot roasted almonds!
This year's Oktoberfest will include a new Oktoberfest tradition -- the Sea of Accordions concert. Accordion players from around the state gather for Tempe’s largest accordion concerts. Tap your toes to polkas and favorite traditional German tunes. The Arizona Accordion club will offer a variety of music as a prelude to the Southwest Ambulance Parade of Flags arrival Friday night on the Fireside Stage at 7:15pm.
In addition, Arizona Hoolerie (featuring Leigh Dechaine) will be performing at the Oktoberfest's main gate all three days.
