American Accordion Musicological Society 2008 Festival

The annual Accordion Festival and Competition sponsored by the American Accordion Musicological Society (AAMS) will be held March 7-9 at the Dolce Valley Forge Hotel in King of Prussia, PA. A tremendous program is planned for this year including Headliners Mario Tacca and Mary Mancini.

The festivities kick off with an exciting Cajun/Zydeco Concert on Friday night. Saturday will feature the competition categories and various accordion workshops of great interest.

The Annual Dinner takes place at 5:30pm on Saturday evening where this years Honoree will be recognized. For his many efforts on behalf of the AAMS for the past many years, this year's Honoree
is Rik Kaplan.

Folowing the dinner is the Accordion Spectacular Concert featuring our Guest Artists (Tacca and Mancini) and many more great accordionists you
won't want to miss. And, after the concert, come to the Meet and Greet party to personally interact with
the Artists and other attendees of the Festival.

On Sunday, the morning will continue with more competitions and more exciting workshops. After lunch will be the Awards Concert featuring the Festival Massed Band, Accordion Artists, and the
presentation of awards and trophies.

There are also accordion displays, accordion repair seminars, accordion memorabilia, Tapes, CD's, Videos, and Sheet Music available.
