What:
It's the 26th anniversary of the Original Southwest Louisiana Zydeco Music Festival in Plaisance, Louisiana. In addition to nonstop music and dancing, the Heritage Stage will feature performances focused on the history of zydeco and jure'.
Creole food is available along with various beverages for sales throughout the event. Dishes include: jambalaya, red beans & rice, fried turkey wings, fried pig tails, boudin hog cracklins, seafood, and even alligator on the stick. Sweet potato pies, pralines, and other sweets are also available.
The festival lasts from 10:30am until 1am the following morning. Admission is $10.
