Avi Avital and Uri Sharlin

These two Israeli expariates just came back from succesful tour of the homeland. Their take on melodies of the Middle East, Eastern Europe and the Balkans is both virtuosic and lyrical, and has earned them acclaim all around the world. Mandolinist Avi Avital (Milan, Italy) played as a soloist many orchestras, among them the Israeli Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Baroque Ensembles Arion and Fantazyas (Italy). Accordionist Uri Sharlin is based in New York and plays with a variety of Middle Eastern and jazz ensembles.
