What:
The Golden Tones have been playing polka music for well over thirty years now. Richie Machey and a bunch of teenagers from the Hazleton area got together to play polka music. Influenced by bands like Eddie Blazonczyk and The Polskie Swingmaster, The Golden Tones came up with their own unique style of polka music. Though some of the musicians have changed over the years, the drive style is still there. The Golden Tones have performed in many states in the northeast including Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, New Jersey, New York and Connecticut. They have performed at many functions such as polka weekends and festivals, picnics, polka dances, weddings, parades, house parties and TV shows.
