What:
On July 3rd, 1998, Jason Webley invited a few friends over to his Wallingford home to perform the songs he had recorded for a self-released CD. Little did he know, this night was going to be the modest beginning of a music career. Eleven years later, Webley has played over 1000 shows all over the world. He has fans everywhere from Mexico City to Russia.
To celebrate the 11 year anniversary of his life as a professional vagabond, Webley is holding a big home-town concert at his favorite venue - Town Hall. The night will be an extravaganza featuring most of the artists and musicians Webley has worked with in these past eleven years.
Bring your friends. Bring your smiles, your fingers, your heart. Bring eleven hugs for eleven strangers. And bring a jacket. You never know where the night is going to take you...
Jason Webley is foot-stomping, tomato-loving accordionist from Seattle. His combination of folk, gypsy, and punk is most often compared to Tom Waits or Vladimir Vysotsky but also draws from Leonard Cohen, Shel Silverstein, Bob Dylan, Neutral Milk Hotel, Nick Cave and the Dead Kennedys.
