Accordion House Shop

Lorenzo Faoro's tiny repair shop in his Renfrew St. home is the ultimate stop for any Vancouver accordionist with a box in bad shape. In the 1940s, Renzo worked for a decade in the accordion factories in Castelfidardo, Italy. In 1952, Renzo immigrated to Vancouver, where an aunt and uncle had been living since the 1920s, and set up an accordion shop on Commercial Drive near Vancouver's thriving Italian community.
