About:

Founded in Fort Bend County, Texas December 14, 2003 by Mr. Mario Pedone effective March 7, 2006 we changed our name to Houston Accordion Club to more clearly reflect our geographic location.

The city of Houston Texas is the fourth largest in the United States, consisting of 1.8 million people sprawled over 570 square miles. The Greater Houston Area has a population of 4.7 million people and 8,778 square miles. It covers more ground than any other major city in America. In fact it is 7 times bigger then the state of Rhode Island and as big as the entire countries of Israel and El Salvador. It is big enough to have three accordion clubs.

The purpose of our club is to bring together accordion players from beginner to expert and music lovers in the southwest Houston Area so that we can increase public awareness of the accordion as a serious musical instrument, encourage and inspire accordion players of all skill levels to continue their progress, promote performance of all types of music on the accordion, and promote the accordion through public service and performances.

Everyone is invited to join us at any of our meetings. Attendance and parking is free.
