Alaska Button Box Gang Clubs

The Alaska Button Box Gang is a social and recreational group dedicated to promoting the history and enjoyment of button box accordion music. We play music for pleasure, for recreation and for many events in the greater Anchorage community. The band plays traditional Slovenian, German and Polish accordion music as well as songs written by members of the group.Our repertoire includes polkas, waltzes, schottisches, two-steps, swing and Latin.

Some members have been playing together for about 20 years, others are newcomers to accordion music. All play because they enjoy playing the button box accordion and playing together. Members of the group hail from Minnesota, Wisconsin, Washington, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Texas, New Jersey and Colorado as well as Alaska.
